PS5 Games 2025

Last week, we put together a big Talking Point on our most anticipated PS5 games for the second half of the year. But it wasn't just about the opinions of our editorial team; we ran a poll asking you to vote on the titles that you're most looking forward to playing.

Over 6,000 votes were cast across 70 upcoming PS5 games, making for one of our most robust polls yet — and now, the results are in.

These are the top 20 most anticipated PS5 games for the rest of 2025, according to you...

20. Sword of the Sea - 81 votes (1%)
20. The Wolf Among Us 2 - 81 votes (1%)
20. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4 - 81 votes (1%)
17. Dying Light: The Beast - 84 votes (1%)
16. WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers - 88 votes (1%)
15. Lost Soul Aside - 91 votes (2%)
14. Shinobi: Art of Vengeance - 93 votes (2%)
13. Borderlands 4 - 117 votes (2%)
12. The Outer Worlds 2 - 135 votes (2%)
11. Ninja Gaiden 4 - 136 votes (2%)
10. Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles - 157 votes (3%)
9. Cronos: The New Dawn - 170 votes (3%)
8. Gears of War: Reloaded - 189 votes (3%)
7. Crimson Desert - 212 votes (4%)
6. Hell Is Us - 217 votes (4%)

5. Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater - 353 votes (6%)

Metal Gear Solid Delta

Widely considered to one of the absolute best games in the Metal Gear series, we're just over a couple of months away from the return of Snake Eater. This remake may not have Hideo Kojima's name attached to it, but outside of some new multiplayer shenanigans, Konami and Virtuos are sticking as close to the original vision as possible — and surely that's for the best.

We're not surprised to see Delta shoot so high on this list; the power of nostalgia should never be underestimated — especially when the original release is so beloved.

4. Mafia: The Old Country - 409 votes (7%)

Mafia The Old Country

Promising to ditch the open world busywork that bogged down Mafia 3, Mafia: The Old Country is set to be a story-driven banger. The hope is that by scaling back its scope, this long awaited sequel (technically a prequel?) serves up a slice of single player excellence, bolstered by intense storytelling and some memorable set pieces.

As long as the action holds up, we can see this one being a potential Game of the Year candidate for many, because you just know that Hangar 13 is primed to deliver on the narrative side of things.

3. Silent Hill F - 449 votes (8%)

Silent Hill F

The Silent Hill revival is in full swing, and Silent Hill F is doubling down on being truly creepy. While we don't yet know the full scope of this potentially terrifying escapade, everything we've seen of it suggests tightly designed, old school survival horror.

Still, who would have thought not one, but two Konami titles would make this top five? Imagine going back in time a few years and telling someone that the once-despised Japanese publisher would be threatening to enter some kind of new golden age. Madness, but we're here for it.

2. Death Stranding 2: On the Beach - 504 votes (8%)

Death Stranding 2

Well, you don't have long to wait for this one! Out on PS5 in just over a week, Death Stranding 2 seeks to expand upon everything that its predecessor did well — and that includes the sheer strangeness of the characters and world building.

It's hard to envision a timeline where this sequel isn't another classic from Kojima. With the engine, core gameplay, and storytelling style all nailed down in the first game, we're fully expecting On the Beach to blow minds with utterly unpredictable plot points and shocking revelations.

1. Ghost of Yotei - 961 votes (16%)

Ghost of Yotei

While we're not at all surprised to see Ghost of Yotei take the top spot on this list, we didn't think it'd sweep the competition quite so easily. Almost doubling the popularity of Death Stranding 2 in second place, the October-bound PS5 exclusive managed to rack up more votes than the vast majority of games in our poll combined.

We love Ghost of Tsushima, but it's quite easy to see how a sequel could improve on Jin Sakai's journey. More in-depth combat, a more dynamic, interactive open world, and perhaps a more nuanced narrative... Yotei should be a homerun for Sucker Punch.
