Little Kitty, Big City has had Xbox, PC, and Nintendo Switch players feline fine for quite some time – but now it’s PS5 and PS4’s turn to get the open world outing.
Due out on 9th May, this cosy cat game sees you exploring an urban sandbox from the perspective of a four-legged furball. While you will have objectives – namely to make your way home – you’ll be free to explore as much or as little as you like along the way.
“On the way home, this kitty will explore a colourful city, help fellow animal friends with various tasks and requests, and cause chaos the way only a cat can,” the official blurb reads.

“Feeling particularly mischievous? Pay a visit to your nearby shopkeeper and ruin their day. Other core quest lines may include: taking a nap in the sun, committing petty theft in the form of stealing a stranger’s bagel, knocking over fragile planters, and other various victimless cat crimes.”
You can play at your own pace, customise your cat with a plethora of “very adorable hats”, or just mindlessly watch the world go by – from an elevated position, of course.
This may prove a good palate cleanser while you work through all of the huge titles that have launched lately, like Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, and Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

Depending on price may get this
@rusty82 yeah seems like a game which I'd spent 20 bucks tops on
@Bramble something relaxing and daft that the kids can also enjoy too
The game costs $24.99 on the Nintendo eShop, so expect the same on PS5/4.
It's incredibly short, I completed everything in an afternoon. It's the kind of game that should be on PS+ not £25, no matter how cute the cat is!
This was a really good game on Steam. It was a little short like Untitled Goose Game but it was really enjoyable. If there's a platinum you'd probably achieve it in about 6 to 7hrs. The main story took me just over 2hrs. I could have gotten over 2hrs if I'd taken my time. I definitely agree with Mantis, it felt like a Plus+ game through and through.
I did think we were getting the soundtrack with the game, instead they sold it separately for about about ten pounds. It's a small soundtrack with mostly 2min pieces, it doesn't look like it's being bundled with the PS5 version either. It's a minor gripe, it just would have made £25 that little bit more reasonable.
I'm not buying it again but I am 50/50 on buying a copy for a friend who lost their cat a while back, the cat in the game looks just like them. They talk about them all the time. The technical term is emotional support animal. There's a whole certification process involved to get a new one, but I know they have a PS5.
Great family game for a lazy afternoon. Really enjoyed it on game pass.
@get2sammyb How did you manage to not mention "Stray" when writing about this cel-shaded version of Stray? 😂
If anyone is interested in what the dev had to say, they don't mention Stray either but they do acknowledge Untitled Goose game was an inspiration:

Looks real cute!
