Falcom generated a backlash last year when it announced Ys X: Proud Nordics — an expanded and enhanced version of Ys X: Nordics, which had only just released in the west.
Well, the saga just got even more questionable with Proud Nordics' full Japanese reveal. As it turns out, this "significantly upgraded" edition of Ys X is actually exclusive to the recently unveiled Nintendo Switch 2, as Falcom states "plans for other platforms, such as PS5 and PC, have yet to be determined".
So, was this the plan all along? That Proud Nordics was always going to be the dedicated Switch 2 re-release? That feels like a logical explanation, but we certainly can't see it being enough to shield Falcom from criticism.
In conclusion, then, we've had some people complaining that Proud Nordics is happening way too soon — and now, we've also got people complaining about it being exclusive to one platform (for the time being, at least).
