Tripwire Interactive has announced a new release date for its anticipated horror shooter, Killing Floor 3.

Initially scheduled to release back in March of this year, the gory first-person shooter will now launch on PS5 on 24th July 2025 — almost exactly four months later than planned.

A press release says the extra development time has been spent addressing "feedback from the player community", with improvements being made to "design, artwork, UI and animations".

Creative director Bryan Wynia is clear about wanting the game to stay aligned with what the fans want.

"Since delaying the launch of Killing Floor 3, we’ve dedicated the additional development time to responding to the community’s feedback, ensuring the next chapter in the much-loved cult action/horror franchise lives up to our shared vision," he says. "The support from our fans has been incredible, and with the new July 24th release date in sight, we're thrilled to bring that vision to players not just at launch, but through the continued support of new features and content that is a hallmark of our studio."

Killing Floor 3 is the latest instalment in the cult hit action horror series, in which players team up to take down monstrous enemies in bloodthirsty FPS action. The trailer above should give you the gist.
