Here's a quick flashing images warning for the above trailer; it calms down a bit after the first 30 seconds or so.
Anyway, publisher Playstack has debuted a new gameplay trailer for its upcoming roguelike first-person shooter, Void Breaker, and it's looking pretty crazy.
Set within a mysterious simulation, each run you embark on will be slightly different, and you'll need your wits about you to overcome all the enemies and obstacles in your way.
This being a roguelike, you'll be able to unlock new weapons and modify them with all kinds of modular add-ons, changing elemental effects, damage output, and plenty more.

On top of that, the environment is super destructible, and you'll need to use this to your advantage as well.
You're also highly agile with plenty of movement options at your disposal. The result is a game that looks incredibly fast-paced and intense, sort of like the energy drink-chugging offspring of DOOM and Returnal.
It's planned for release on PS5, but it won't be until next year. The good news is that, when it does arrive on Sony's console, it'll have been through an early access period on PC, meaning we'll get the polished-up game from day one.

Must buy, imo. Looks right up my alley. Solo dev, too, iirc. Gotta support the little guys.

Looks like a first person Control as a roguelike, so this right up my alley.
I was gonna put it on my wishlist but I found it was already there, so my past me must have snuck it in there at some point.
