PS5 / Xbox Showcase

Microsoft's recent multi-platform efforts have seen various Xbox games ported to PS5 and PS4 in recent years, but the push will take on a new meaning later today as PlayStation logos appear directly in the annual Xbox Games Showcase.

Earlier this year, Xbox head Phil Spencer confirmed that future showcases from the company will feature logos for other consoles, immediately revealing what platforms they'll be ported to. This significant change is about being "honest and transparent", the Xbox boss said at the time.

"For shipping on PlayStation, on Steam... people should know the storefronts where they can get our games, but I want people to be able to experience our Xbox community in our games and everything we have to offer, on every screen we can," he continued. Ports to the newly released Nintendo Switch 2 could also be revealed.

This promise comes to a head in today's Xbox Games Showcase, where ports and new Microsoft games will likely be announced for PS5. We won't be hosting a live article here directly on the site, but you can find one on Pure Xbox. We will be covering all the reveals featuring a PS5 logo, and then presenting a round up of them all at the end.

Directly after the big show, Microsoft will be sharing a deep dive into The Outer Worlds 2, which is already confirmed for PS5 along with the likes of Gears of War Reloaded.
