State of Play PS5 June

Update []:

Sony has now announced its latest State of Play livestream will take place tomorrow, 4th June 2025. It'll have over 40 minutes worth of "news and updates on must-play games coming to PS5. The show highlights a selection of great games from creators across the globe."

The State of Play will start at the following times around the world:

  • North America: 2pm PDT / 3pm MDT / 4pm CDT / 5pm EDT
  • UK/Ire: 10pm BST
  • Europe: 11pm CEST / 12am (Thu) EEST
  • Asia/Oceania: 6am (Thu) JST / 5am (Thu) AWST / 7am (Thu) AEST

Original Story: There's growing belief amongst PS5 enthusiasts that Sony will announce a new State of Play broadcast this week.

More specifically, some are expecting said announcement to happen later today, with the event itself taking place on Thursday. This would follow the patten of past shows.

Now, it's important to note that all of this speculation comes from a single post on ResetEra, made by in-the-know user Shinobi602. Shinobi doesn't tease too much these days, so when he does post, it attracts a lot of attention — and this particular reply has plenty of people thinking that a State of Play is imminent.

Of course, there's added weight to this in that rumours of a June State of Play have been swirling for a couple of weeks. However, previous reports have suggested that the event may take place after the main Summer Game Fest show on Friday — which would obviously rule out any incoming announcement for this week.

As always, then, we'll just have to wait and see. Naturally, if there is any announcement happening later today, we'll cover it ASAP.
