DOOM: The Dark Ages Trophy Roadmap: How to Get the Platinum

DOOM: The Dark Ages Trophy Guide: All Trophies and How to Get the Platinum

There are 29 Trophies in the game, which consist of 11 Bronze Trophies, 12 Silver Trophies, 5 Gold Trophies, and the 1 Platinum Trophy. In this next part of our DOOM: The Dark Ages Trophy guide, we are going to reveal whether there are any Missable Trophies or Difficulty-Related Trophies.

Are There Any Missable Trophies in DOOM: The Dark Ages?

There are no Missable Trophies in the game because you can replay any Chapter once you've completed it, allowing you to return to the area and find any missing Collectibles. In addition, you can grind out and complete Mission Challenges using this same method.

There are no Difficulty-Related Trophies in the game, meaning you can choose any one of the many difficulty levels and still get the Platinum Trophy. This includes the easiest difficulty option, so feel free to make the game as easy or as hard as you like. The individual difficulty option sliders don't affect Trophy unlocks either.

DOOM: The Dark Ages Trophy Guide

This section of the guide presents our DOOM: The Dark Ages Trophy guide, providing descriptions and strategies for unlocking all Trophies in the game. Where relevant, we will provide links to our wider DOOM: The Dark Ages guide to provide a complete breakdown of a particular Trophy requirement.

Agaddon Champion Down!

Silver: Kill an Agaddon Hunter

  • An Agaddon Hunter is first encountered in the Abyssal Forest, with the main objective forcing you to defeat it.

Silver: Kill a Komodo demon

  • You'll fight a Komodo Champion at the start of Spire of Nerathul in an unmissable boss fight encounter.

Upgraded

Bronze: Acquire your first weapon upgrade

  • Upgrades are purchased from Sentinel Shrines, and you find your first one in Hebeth. The main objective will guide you to unlock a weapon upgrade, so this Trophy is unmissable.

Fully Loaded

Silver: Complete the Mastery Challenge for a single weapon

  • Once you've unlocked all the upgrades for a weapon, you'll be presented with its Mastery Challenge. This generally tasks you with using the weapon in a certain way to kill demons. As the starting weapon, it's likely the Combat Shotgun will be the first Mastery Challenge you unlock. Whichever one you get first, complete it to get the Trophy.

Gunpletionist

Gold: Complete the Mastery Challenge for all weapons

  • After unlocking all the upgrades for a weapon at a Sentinel Shrine, you'll be given its Mastery Challenge. To unlock this Trophy, you need to complete the Mastery Challenge for every weapon in the game. You'll generally need to use the weapon in question even more, taking advantage of one of the upgrades it offers.

Gimme That

Bronze: Acquire the Ballistic Force Crossbow

  • You'll get the Ballistic Force Crossbow via main story progress, acquired during Spire of Nerathul.

Shield Adept

Silver: Acquire all shield upgrades under the base category

  • There are 6 upgrades for the shield in the Base category, which require Gold and Rubies to unlock. As long as you're actively searching for the two currencies, you should get this Trophy naturally.

Ancestral Blessing

Bronze: Acquire your first Shield Rune

  • You'll automatically get your first Shield Rune as part of the main story, in the Ancestral Forge.

Powerful Investment

Bronze: Acquire all upgrades for a single shield rune

  • Shield Runes are unlocked as you progress through the campaign, and modify what happens when you parry a green-coloured attack. You'll spend Rubies and Wraithstones to get upgrades for them, and completing the full set of upgrades for one Shield Rune unlocks the Trophy.

Melee Expert

Silver: Acquire all melee weapon upgrades

  • At the Sentinel Shrines in every chapter, you can spend Gold, Rubies, and Wraithstones on upgrades. Under the melee tab on the upgrade menu, purchase all the available upgrades.

Berserker

Gold: Acquire all Shield Base, Shield Rune, and Melee Weapon upgrades

  • Again, at the Sentinel Shrines, unlock all of the upgrades under the Shield Saw and melee menus using Gold, Rubies, and Wraithstones. You'll need to find almost all of the 3 currencies in each Chapter to afford all the upgrades.
