One of the most surprising announcements to come from today's Nintendo Switch 2 Direct is a new FromSoftware title: The Duskbloods. With very heavy Bloodborne and Elden Ring vibes, it's another new IP from the Japanese studio that's — perhaps surprisingly — multiplayer-centric. You can catch the reveal trailer above.

What was even more unexpected, however, is that The Duskbloods is exclusive to Nintendo Switch 2, launching in 2026.

"The moontears will flow for one and one alone when The Duskbloods, a brand-new multiplayer game by FromSoftware, is coming exclusively to Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026," the YouTube description reads. Hidetaka Miyazaki is directing the project, which caters to up to eight players online.

Just like Sony got exclusive experiences out of Bloodborne on PS4 and Demon's Souls on PS3, the developer now turns its sights to the next portable device from Nintendo. You'll need a Switch 2 next year to play this one.
