If you're not quite familiar with Ys vs. Trails in the Sky — an old Falcom crossover fighter that's being revived on PS5 and PS4 — then we'd give this new trailer a watch.
It covers the game's character roster, which consists of heroes and antiheroes from both Ys and the Trails series. Granted, you'll need to have played some of the developer's older titles to actually recognise a lot of these faces, but it's hard to deny the old school charm that's on offer here.
We should also reiterate, as the trailer implies, that every character has been dubbed in English for this remaster. The revival even includes rollback netcode for smooth online play.
Ys vs. Trails in the Sky is set to arrive this summer, but we don't have a defined date just yet. Publisher Refintgames better get a move on!

Adol speaking just feels so wrong...
I have beaten all main line games of YS (and Trails, except Daybreak 2) multiple times and stll I don't like that Adol does not speak. It seems to be a relic of an old era when mute characters were around for some reason. I always find it hard it to connect with mute characters. However, Adol always finds girlfriends without speaking at all so who am I to judge?
I’ve played almost every Trails and Ys game and I would struggle to name enough characters from the Ys side to not make this a massively unbalanced roster.
@belmont At least they seem to be slowly moving away from that by at least letting you hear his voice in recent games but I think they should just have all of his lines voiced even the ones they have you pick.
