Hopefully this is indicative of a Fall 22 release. Really looking forward to playing GT7 with this. PSVR was the best way to play GT Sport, the driving felt amazing, but you couldn't play the whole game that way, just time trials basically, though on any track you had unlocked. It felt like such a letdown when you had to go back to playing pancake mode to unlock a new track, because the game didn't give you any progression from your VR play.
Having analog sticks is going to make games like Skyrim, NMS, and any FPS so much better too. Looking forward to some game with dual wielding, like a Pistol Whip quality of gunplay but with a story and an environment where you control the movement.
Edit: And Alyx! I could see that being a launch title. That would be sick.
I think it's good. I've been wanting to try a UFC game for a while, but not enough to buy one, and I've never played the Tiny Tina DLC, plus it has a couch co-op mode, which is awesome. Planet Coaster, meh, but they can't all be winners. With Forbidden West coming out soon, I'm glad it wasn't some super long game.
Reading through the article, I was wondering if they had added music during the matches as that was such a big miss. The gameplay was lacking, but the awkward silence just made the too large arenas seem even more empty. Disappointing that they didn't make such a simple fix.
If you search the web store for We Were Here, you get 132 results in games, none of which are this. Have to use the link above. And the Add to Library button doesn't work. Even after signing out and signing back in. Looks fun though.
@KippDynamite The breakout box supports 4K and HDR passthrough, the only thing it wouldn't support would be 120Hz, VRR, and ALLM, but that only applies if you have a TV that supports those. Otherwise it doesn't matter. There's only 2 or 3 TVs out currently that support VRR. If you have one of those, then yeah, you'll want to swap cables or get an HDMI 2.1 switcher. Looking forward to PSVR2 being wireless and that not being necessary. Luckily for me I only have 4K HDR tv, so no cable swapping necessary.
@TommyArter The V2 version of the PSVR that reduced the cable to a single cable, and no heavy box hanging off your head, also added HDR passthrough, so no issues with having to swap cables anymore. I upgraded for that, and it was a nice quality of life improvement, the headset feels much better without the heavy cables pulling on it as well.
@Terry12 There's no light bar to track on the DualSense, so the DualSense doesn't work in VR at all. Has nothing to do with the haptics. Yes, you'll need a DualShock, and the free camera adapter for the PS4 camera, PS5 camera won't work.
@Octane New unit will have different tracking of course. One of the biggest things holding PSVR back is the light-based tracking. It's also expected that the PSVR2 will be wireless, or at least have a wireless option, maybe two different price points. Cheaper wired version available was talked about. I think simplicity will win out, because the wired version would hold games back as they'd have to worry about you turning around too much and getting twisted in the wire.
Never played a Hitman game before. Now I'm very excited for it. Glad that it appears to use the motion controls. So much more immersive to tap someone with the crowbar, then slam them. They work great in Saints and Sinners, even without an analog stick, and they should work great here as well. Super accurate for this type of thing. The Moves work great in Pistol Whip, Space Pirate Trainer and other shooting games.
