What he's saying is true for all CEOs across all industries, not just gaming. Nothing to see here imo.
So many people will lose their jobs to AI over the next 50 years. Forget about expensive degrees, become a plumber, construction worker, electrician...etc. You'll get paid a fortune and won't get replaced!
Really wanted to play this so downloaded the demo. Combat was just to busy visually for me. I could hardly make out what was happening on the screen due to all the special moves effects. Left me feeling a bit nauseous but probably just me.
@glassmusic I've noticed in the past that if I'm not signed in, the website defaults to USD and yes, you're right, the USD offers aren't really offers.
@Whately86 I buy £50 vouchers for around £42 when the offer is available at shopto. You redeem the code they send via psn store and it credits your account. Then you select whatever deal it is you are wanting on the store and it will give you the discounted total. As that money is coming from the voucher you bought at shopto, you get extra savings.
I bought two years of extra during the Black Friday sale and saved a load.
@KingPev Hey. Just because I've been around gaming a long, long time and I'm not inclined to support some of their business practices. They are getting better, so credit there.
Not that most triple AAA companies don't do the same mind you
I must be missing something here. I am on Essential and recently let it 'expire' to a rolling monthly waiting for a deal, which has now arrived.
All the plans are talking about monthly prices and not annual. For example, I can only resubscribe to Essential at 6.99GBP per month. The other options offer me a discount but quote me a monthly price e.g. Extra at 10.99GBP per month.
I can't see the 37.49GBP annual price that is quoted in this article anywhere.
Had to glance at my PS5 before commenting and yes, it looks better imo. Then I noticed my PS2 slim which is next to the PS5 and chuckled at the size difference
I have a ps2, 3 and 5 under the telly so no need for me to upgrade. Might be just me, but I hate the feeling of any time pressure to play games i.e. One month left on a sub, games leaving the service.. Etc. I just prefer to own the games.
Very interested to see more of this. Dragon Quest Tales of and Blue Dragon vibes for me and anything like those games and I'm interested. Would like to have seen Switch included on the list though as I feel this type of games are great on handhelds
@get2sammyb no problems with upselling, good business practice. Based off the article and 10 dolls being banded around, I'd have to reconsider. That said, 'm actually intrigued to see the offering.
10 dolls per month is far too much for a basic tier. Far too much and a heck of a lot more than what I pay now. That's like doubling the cost for no extra benefit, based on this article
Paid DLC any day. I realize the problems of this approach, but prefer it to micro transactions. Looks great but appreciate it's cherry picking the best parts of the build. Either way, very likely a day one buy... Just to keep the Mrs happy ha
@darksoul77 I hear you about following drivers more than the teams. But I can't help but have a soft spot for Williams and McLaren, especially after experiencing Mansell Mania and seeing Senna rip through Woodcote for the first time.
Who's the talent you mention? Obviously I'm biased towards the Brits but I think Norris, Russell and Leclerc all have an excellent shot at a WDC in the next few years.
Love F1 but on this occasion, I'll stick to actually racing the cars.
Hoping to bury the memory of last season. Absolute and utter disgrace from the FIA. Change the regs to improve performance of higher raked cars, baffling decisions throughout the season and then chuck away the rule book to make sure someone other than Mercedes won ultimately to entice more fans (money) into the sport.
Been watching and attending f1 since I was about 7.
@Puketapu In my eyes, in any economy people get abused this way. Society is fundamentally changing and newer gamers are always going to have different values.
I think this 'utopia' ended with the launch of ps4 and Xbox one. We just didn't want to hear it at the time.
The whole of society is moving digital and has been for years. Why would gaming be any different? How many of us winged at Xbox for pushing digital on us? And then how many of those whiners then went on to buy more digital than physical? How many of us whinged at horse armour and then proceeded to spend loads on micro transactions?
Nfts have some amazing advantages (and disadvantages). Taking your collections (art, photos, music, games) with you anywhere in the world has value to people. The blockchain is proof of authenticity so no one can ever rip off the next digital Mona Lisa and the chance to earn while playing games has value to millions around the world at a time when jobs are getting more scarce. Post work economy and all that.
I'm a physical gamer where possible but the idea of making money while gaming sounds interesting.
CDPR are a listed company now and the rot started as soon as they became one, leading to that launch debacle. Investors want money, at any cost, leading to CDPR having to focus almost all of their resources on new projects. There's no money to be made in 77 anymore and EA have proven that reputation by no means hinders the ability to make she'd loads of profit.
53 hours in and enjoying it a lot. I think I'm near the end so can say I'd give it an 8. Lovely combat, decent characters and story and a lovely range of landscapes. I do miss the bawdy humour of previous tales games though. Graces cracked me up
Sure am! Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Fallout 3 and NV, Tales of, Star Ocean, PES, Tiger Woods, Silent Hill, Oblivion, Eternal Sonata...and many more. Some absolute belters on PS3. If my PS3 breaks, i'll buy another one!

And what's to bet that publishers charge for this 'feature' in their games.
As I've said multiple times.l, modern gaming, and indeed modern life, create a problem and sell you the solution.

Characters and the world looked great
Re: Feature: I Visited Yakuza's Real-Life Kamurocho, And Somehow Avoided an Ass Stomping
Lived there for three years and always smile to myself when playing Yakuza how well replicated the city is in the game.
Highly recommend Japan. Safe, clean, lovely people eve if they are a bit awkward around foreigners at times, fun to be had all round.
Re: Bethesda's Fallout 76 Suddenly Runs Better Than Ever on PS5

Gets said a few times but worth repeating. If you buy psn vouchers from the likes of shopto.net beforehand, you can really add up the savings.
Re: Gargantuan Genshin Impact 3.7 Update Adds Cat Lady Kirara to PS5, PS4
Uninstalled this due to the multitude of 30+ gb updates. Felt like there was one every month

Re: Dragon Age: Origins Writer Thinks It's Time For 'PS5-Era Bells and Whistles' Remaster
I still have a run through on the PS3 each year along with Fallout 3 & NV and the Mass Effect trilogy.
Very enjoyable game and would certainly pick up a pre-owned copy if it was released. Not giving em my money.
Re: Microsoft Invites Sony to Sign Its Own 10-Year Call of Duty Deal

Quite enjoyed The Witcher 3. After the CP77 debacle, I'll be holding off from an early purchase though.

58gb for a patch. Jeez.
