Top 5 (hopefully) releasing on PlayStation in 2022:
1. God of War Ragnorak
2. Hogwarts Legacy
3. Gotham Knights
4. Forespoken
5. Avatar : Frontiers of Pandora
Also very much looking forward to playing:
1. Stray
2. Little Devil Inside
3. Marvel’s Midnight Suns
4. Diofield Chronicle
5. Valkyrie : Elysium
6. Crisis Core : Final Fantasy 7 Reunion
7. Sonic Frontiers
8. TMNT Cowabunga Collection.
9. Tunic
Last of Us Part 1 Remake I’ll wait for sale. Not spending $70 on that. Already bought the PS3 original and PS4 remaster.
I’m curious, do I need to have this PS4 version of AC Origins on my internal SSD in order to get the 60 fps, or can I still get it if I have it installed on my external SATA hard drive ?
I think they are due for a Showcase. I do not think it’s wise to stay silent until September.
Prior to Sony pulled out of E3, they’d still show up at other events like Paris Game Show and Gamescom, or even a PSX event.
I’m concerned people like Jim Ryan see those events as just money wastes (because of the expense of doing those events), when it’s also important that Sony keeps PlayStation buzz going.
I would think with Sony copying Nintendo’s Directs that that’d take care of the exorbitant expense of doing the physical shows. That they could manage their own presentation easy enough.
We are now 11 days away from Sony unveiling the PS Plus debut game libraries for the Asia (excluding Japan) market, and we’ve seen nothing on the games. No splashy ad, no presentation, no simple blog post.
You’d think after their financial presentation of their ‘great expectations’ for the new PS Plus, they’d put on more showmanship to drive hype. They’re still an electronics entertainment business.
That’s why I worry about bean counters like Jim Ryan. People who have, at best, vague notion of what’s good entertainment, but doesn’t partake himself, but is much more fixated on the money-side.
If even half of the live service games, of their planned 10, manage to be half as successful as Fortenite it will radically change the image and direction of the PlayStation brand.
I can absolutely envision a future where Sony does what Activision did and just have more and more of their first party go into supporting Live Service XYZ game.
I love the single player games that they make, and I want them to keep it that way, but just doing the math doesn’t look good for us.
It is hard to make an inordinate amount of money without recurring revenue. Games are taking now 5-8 years to get made now.
Sony PlayStation did not start out as a first party single player powerhouse. That started with the PS2.
Whatever currently in the pipe being developed is still coming, the problem (if you dislike live service games like I do) will be evident in 3-4 years from now, when we see what the future of PlayStation, at that point in time, looks like.
The one saving grace is that there are only so many hours in the day, let alone leisure time, and console market seems to have an arbitrary top of 200 million. Just as with MMO’s and how every 360/PS3 game HAD to have a multiplayer because of COD, remember even God of War had multiplayer for pete sake.
The same will hold true for Live Service, make the Big LS is Fortnite, and that’s the market for a good long while, just as COD and WOW/FF14 and League of Legends dominate in their genres. The power of ‘well all my friends and the YouTubers I watch play xyz game’ cannot be underestimated.
It’ll be: 1. Bland open world design 2. Live service design 3. The faction/setting will be bland and extremely safe and generic so as to 1. Sell more skins/cosmetics and 2. Not to offend.
We’re not ever gonna get a GR game where the team is sent to foreign country that’s at war/in turmoil where the ultimate bad guy isn’t somehow the US’s involvement.
I will probably actually try Plague Tale after hearing so many lauding it. I usually have zero interest or already own the games PS Plus puts up. Like zero interest to the point that I don’t even bother to redeem it.
I mostly just wanna get it over with at this point. There is just so much talk online every couple of hours wondering what each company is gonna reveal.
I really hope for some pleasant surprises, but I think we need to bring it down a bit, a lot of companies were impacted by COVID.
For the time being I’m enjoying mass effect legendary edition. Waiting on the new ratchet and clank.

Moon Knight I wanna see in a Midnight Suns game
Re: Poll: Are You Happy with Your PS Plus Extra, Premium PS5, PS4 Games in October 2022?
All I’m learning the past 4 months is getting PS Premium was a mistake.
Was expecting a lot more support for PS1, PS2, PSP.
Silly me, jimmy doesn’t think it’s worth bothering with I guess.
Re: Rumour: PS Plus Extra, Premium Games for July 2022 Possibly Leaked
Ofcourse I’m most looking forward to Stray.
And i wouldn’t mind revisiting AC Freedom Cry
I’m wondering if this is the total list or if they’ll be any additions to the Premium (1, 2, PSP) this month.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 428
This weekend i platinum’d the Disney Classic Collection, and I’m a little over half way through the MediEvil remake.
The thing with new big release droughts is i can go back to my backlog of games.

Re: Poll: Are You Happy with Your PS Plus Games for May 2022?
Meh, not excited in the least. No matter, I picked up 5 games on the Golden Week sale. I’m good for long while.

Re: Rumour: A New Ghost Recon Game That Isn't Frontline Is in Development
Don’t expect anything interesting at all.
It’ll be:
1. Bland open world design
2. Live service design
3. The faction/setting will be bland and extremely safe and generic so as to 1. Sell more skins/cosmetics and 2. Not to offend.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 416
I’m still playing through Horizon Forbidden West, working towards the platinum trophy in it.
Re: Upcoming PS5, PS4 Games for March and April 2022
For sure picking up Ghostwire Tokyo.
Probably wait for sale on Gran Turismo 7, just because i know won’t play it right away.
Month of March i also am playing Triangle Strategy and Kirby : Forgotten Land. So March is super occupied for me already.
Re: Poll: What Is Your PS5, PS4 Game of the Year 2021?
My personal PS5 game of the year would have to go to Guardians of the Galaxy.
Just because I had an absolute blast with it.
Followed very closely by Resident Evil Village.
I also really enjoyed Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart, and Jurassic World Evolution 2.
Re: Talking Point: Did You Enjoy Sony's Latest State of Play Livestream?
I only liked the deeper look at Little Devil Inside, very much looking forward to that.
Re: Talking Point: State of Play - What Do You Want to See?
I’d like to see update on “Little Devil Inside” and “Final Fantasy 16”
Hail Mary for MGS remake or re-release collection.
Could also be PSVR2 news (not that I’m especially interested or excited about PSVR2, just that Sony has said that that news is forthcoming).
I don’t expect this to be some massive like the last one was meant to be. But lets see.
Re: Upcoming PS5, PS4 Games for October and November 2021
Far Cry 6, Crysis Remastered Trilogy, & Guardians of the Galaxy for me this month.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 394
I was playing NEO : World Ends With You all weekend
Re: Talking Point: Was Gamescom Opening Night Live Any Good?
Almost every single major game is a 2022 title
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 389
Ive re-played and finished Spider-Man with all the dlc, still love it.
Now replaying the Batman Arkham series. Haven’t played them in years.
Re: Poll: Does Sony Need a Big PS5 Showcase This Summer?
I think we’re gonna get one or two more of the same kind of State of Play’s we saw earlier this month.
Re: Poll: Are You Happy with Your PS Plus Games for July 2021?
I will probably actually try Plague Tale after hearing so many lauding it.
I usually have zero interest or already own the games PS Plus puts up. Like zero interest to the point that I don’t even bother to redeem it.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 382
I haven’t played my PS5 this week. Been playing on Switch, WiiU and iPhone.
NS: hyper light drifter, final fantasy 7, far : Lone Sails
WiiU: Metroid Fusion
iPhone 📱: Final Fantasy 1
Was a fun weekend.
I recently platinum’d the entire mass effect trilogy and Ratchet and Clank. So it’s had a good amount of play the past month.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 382
@Col_McCafferty I’ve been really meaning to do NG+ run with Spiderman and Horizon with all the DLC included
Re: Poll: What's Your Favourite PS5, PS4 Game of 2021 So Far?
Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, Resident Evil
Village, and Mass Effect Legendary Edition are by far the best games I’ve played on Playstation.
Re: Talking Point: What Do You Expect from E3 2021 Next Week?
I mostly just wanna get it over with at this point. There is just so much talk online every couple of hours wondering what each company is gonna reveal.

Re: PS Now Has a Respectable 3.2 Million Subscribers
I would use this if it was available in the Middle East, but it’s not, so shrug
Re: The Dream Is Dead: PS5 Will Not Play PS3, PS2, or PS1 Games
I'm glad i kept my PS3 around. too many great games on it that are only on PS3 that got left behind on that console. MGS4 for instance.
Re: Poll: Will You Buy a PS5?
I'm definitely gonna get a PS5 Digital Version. i think i missed out on the pre-order, during the screw up. but i'm still absolutely gonna get one.
I've been a Playstation/Nintendo guy for decades now.
Re: Reaction: Why Hasn't PS5's Price and Release Date Been Revealed Yet?
Either Sony is scrambling.
or Sony has their own big surprises to make the case of the value of their platform.
in either case, Sony has to get on with it, we are now 2 months away from next gen coming.
we are well past due for this information.
Re: Poll: Has the Marvel's Avengers Beta Convinced You to Buy the Game?
I will wait for it when it's on sale for $30 bucks. for sure i'll buy it then.
