Hmm. Not sure about this one. If there’s a cheap upgrade option then it’s nice to have the best version of the game for the library in case I ever want to go back to it but if they want full price then that’s a bit bananas. On the plus side, hopefully this means a state of play is incoming!

It’s a 9 for me, and that’s not to take anything away from the game because it is an incredible game and was really fun to play (my kids love it too) but to give it a 10 would mean putting alongside some of my all time greatest video games and it’s not quite there for me.

Me and my 6 year old daughter still play the bundled in Astro Bot all these years later so beyond excited for a fully fledged game of it. I just showed her the trailer and her eyes lit up like it was Christmas morning. Will be a day one purchase

If anyone gets a chance read the book “Blood, Sweat and Pixels” and there’s a whole chapter about Barone and how he made SV. Guy literally poured his life and soul into the game!

Or maybe there’s something else hidden in the game that no one has found yet? Didn’t Corey Balrog say that there’s still a secret in God of War 2018 that no one has discovered?

@thefourfoldroot1 True, not straight away at least, but it might do well enough to keep the players who (used to) play COD, playing and spending money on micro transactions. The only worry would obviously be people who migrate to Xbox or pc BECAUSE they want to play COD.

Let MS have Activision, they’ve done nothing overly noteworthy with all the other studios they’ve bought. Sony already have the player base so they should just use one of the many already established studios they own and make a better online first person shooter. They could reboot Black or Killzone with a bigger emphasis on the online

Is a Spider-Man 2 teaser too much to ask for? It’s supposed to be out in the new 7-9 months and is this years big game. 🤞🏻

Finally beat Returnal last night!!! Not sure if I have the heart to go for the “True” ending but if I do, that’s what I’ll be playing until The Last of Us pt 1 comes out. Happy gaming everyone!

I know they’re busy probably making 7 games a year but would love to see Insomniac have a crack at a ghostbusters game. They know how to do an open world NYC and know their way around a gadget wheel and have good writers and always use good performance actors.

I’ll probably end up getting it because I genuinely love the game and want to play the very best version of it but when the rumours first started circulating about a last of us remake, I expected it to be packaged in with pt 2 and factions. That would’ve made the price point a bit more palatable for the consumer.

Pfft, slightly better graphics, a few tacked on features and 3D audio. Naughty Dog won’t be getting £70 of my hard earned money….they’ll be getting £80. Deluxe Version Baybeee

£45 to upgrade to premium until next June, got Returnal, Demon Souls and Ghost of Tsushima to keep me busy for the year plus whatever else comes in. Will review if it’s worth it for another year next June but if I do pick it up I’ll be getting it for around £85 from Shopto

Managed to get some Shredders Revenge in and also played a bit of Shovel Knight (Have been reading Blood, Sweat and Pixels and it’s made me wanna pick it up again) this morning but unfortunately I’m on parenting duties for the rest of the day. Gonna wait until Thursday for the big PS Plus revamp and will give Returnal and Demon Souls a go as I’ve not played either yet

Isn’t Bowsers Fury an open zone game as in its an open world with different zones within? Or am I misunderstanding the concept? You could argue that Horizon Forbidden West is an open world with a jungle zone, a water zone, a desert zone ect

I feel like PlayStation has a game pass problem about as much as Nintendo does. There’s room for all platforms to do their own thing and people can decide what’s the best value for them personally.

@Odium it was more of a comment on the “zero interest”. Think they could’ve left that option out when the choice above that was “No, I probably won’t buy it”. Ultimately I thought I was being funny but I don’t think it worked 😬

@supergurr I wasn’t trying to be defensive or cause any kind of toxicity in the comment section. Was more of a comment on the wording of the poll, like, if you have zero interest in a game, why would you comment on and vote in a poll for it. I have zero interest in Love Island so I don’t watch it and I certainly don’t vote on it

Obviously everyone is entitled to their opinion. I actually voted for “yes but will wait for a price drop” because even though I love the game and it is one of my all time faves and I wanna support the devs and the good work they do even I can’t justify £70 on a game I’ve bought twice before

While I really don’t think it needed a Remake/Remaster, I’m also a sucker and will probably get it as it’s an opportunity to play a better version of one of my all time favourite games. The same goes for Resident Evil 4 next year

I downloaded SpongeBob for my 4 year old to play. It soon turned into me “showing “ her how to play it for an hour.

It sucks that PlayStation will lose crash and spyro but as for the rest, Microsoft is welcome to activision. That is an absurd, insane amount of money to spend on a studio. Maybe now is a good opportunity for Sony to create something new and better. Black and Killzone were solid Sony made FPS that they could revisit and bring to a new generation. Personally, I play PlayStation for single player games and Xbox can’t touch Sony (or Nintendo) on these so they can buy as many studios they want but it doesn’t mean they’ll have good games

I got it on sale a couple of months ago and although it’s no masterpiece I enjoyed the campaign (even though it’s a little repetitive). Didn’t really dabble in the online aspect of it as that’s not generally for me but it’s a good “switch your brain off” game.

Without inciting toxic comments is fifa 22 any good on ps5? I normally get PES but obviously can’t this year. I generally only play offline and career/master league. Haven’t played a fifa since 2012

I know I’m on a PlayStation site but loving me some Mario odyssey again. I put it on for my daughter to play as I thought she’d find it fun but have now taken over because I’d forgotten how good it was. On the PlayStation side of things I might jump into PGA 2k21. It’s a very decent game and fun to play with friends who are as bad as I am. It’s no Tiger Woods 05 but what is….

Some more Tchia/Little Devil inside would be nice. Or some Kena updates/DLC. Also, wasn’t there a rumour that the Predator:Hunting Grounds devs were working on a ghostbusters game? Maybe see some of that although I’m sceptical if it’s another online only multiplayer

I think this is the most polite and gentlemanly “PES vs FIFA” comment section I’ve ever read! Nice to see non-toxic debates can still happen! As for me, I was a PES player during the PS1/PS2/N64 era, switched to FIFA for most of PS3 then converted back to PES for PES 2017 and stuck with it. Haven’t tried either of the latest ones but by the sounds of it I may not play either!

@Shepherd_Tallon there a new launch trailer on ember labs YouTube channel too. Shows a lot more areas and enemy types.

Got it pre-downloaded. I was a bit sceptical but all the previews are positive so far and love what ember lab studios done with their Terrible Fate video and happy to support a new studio trying new things.

Slightly worried that kena won’t be as good as it originally looked. It’s being released in 4 days and no reviews yet and also £32 for a PS5 game….I hope I’m wrong because it looks charming as hell

I’ll do what I do with PES every year…… pretend that the real release date is actually around feb and be super happy that I’ve only paid around £12 for a really good and finished and fully patched football game that is year accurate

@pip_muzz I wonder if you’ll play as venom most of the game as we’ve had a whole game with Peter and miles each. Maybe a lethal protector version, as its Harry Osborn, facing off against kraven. Then Peter and miles have to kill him (venom) at the end to set up the green goblin for the third game
Ps. 2023……maybe released with PS5 Pro?….(c’mon, we know it’s coming!)

Played this last year on the switch and can’t recommend it enough!! One of my games of the year!
