I'm more concerned that Push Square staff all hide their PSN Profiles, refusing to show how little they play before reviewing a game and giving them bad scores after only playing for an hour or two.
That's a bigger issue than people moaning about 30fps
Tell me you have no idea what you're talking about, by telling me you have no idea what you're talking about...
All three games will be 'playable' on the PS5, they just have visual issues. Now, you won't see them on the PS5 console but you can claim them on a PS4, the app or the website, then you can download them on the PS5 via your library.
You obviously didn't realise both Star Trek and Werewolves were exactly the same due to BC issues. They work but you have to claim them before you can download on the PS5.
You'd have thought someone who writes for this site would know these things...
All three games have had free trials for a while. It's the full game but you have to play with someone that owns the game - it's so two people can play with one copy.
If you play a game that has a 1440p option then it'll render natively at 1440p. But, if it has an option then the option will also be on a 4k TV, so the 1440p mode will be identical to the 1440p option on a 4k TV - same performance.
If you select 1440p at a system level but the game only supports 4k or 1080p, then you'll still get a downsampled 4k or upscaled 1080p - it'll just be downscaled to 1440p and not 1080p.
The only time we see a handful of games get a nice performance bump is if you set the system settings to 1080p as it forces a system level 1080p output. Most games don't have this hidden mode anymore but games like Atelier Ryza 2 swap from 4k/30 to a stable 1080p/60.
"Current and future owners of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition on any platform including Xbox Game Pass Subscribers will receive access to three free pieces of Creation Club content: Fishing, Survival Mode and even new quests with Saints and Seducers. Additionally, Skyrim Special Edition owners on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S, as well as Xbox Game Pass subscribers on Xbox Series X|S will receive a free upgrade to an enhanced version on November 11 for their respective PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S systems!"
^^ Anyone who has the SE on PS4 or Xbox will get the three CC content and you'll also get the PS5 or Xbox Series version for free.
"Existing owners of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition and Xbox Game Pass subscribers will also receive the option to purchase an Anniversary Edition upgrade for their Special Edition version of the game to gain access to all the additional content found in the Anniversary Edition."
^^ If you have the SE version then you can buy an upgrade to give you the CC bundle that contains over 500 items.
Push Square simply presumed you get a free upgrade to the Anniversary Edition, which you don't. You get the PS5 version free, but the AE content is an additional charge.
If you have the SE (which is out now) then you get the 3 minor updated features and the free PS5 upgrade on the 11th of November. If you want the version with the 500+ bonus mods, you have to pay an upgrade fee (which isn't specified yet).
You do NOT get the new version for free, but you do get the PS5 version for free. And yes, the PS Blog only said it's via BC on the PS5, but Bethesda, in the link above, clearly says a PS5 and Xbox Series version is also coming (maybe it's going to be later than the launch of the new version?)
TL;DR - Push Square are posting incorrect information again.
@Voldrik literally as soon as the event ended, Press releases were sent out from Bethesda confirming all the details, including the PS5 Doom upgrade. The resolution is minor and only in the performance mode (which is the 120fps mode that nobody will use). 1584p vs 1800p
The 60fps RT mode is 1800p on both systems and the 'balanced mode' is a full 2160p at 60fps on both as well.
It was also all over Twitter about 20mins after the event ended.
I do think that devs and publishers should quote all platforms in their marketing, regardless of what company shows their product, as it can be misleading. I also think websites, like this one, should state all the platforms games are coming to and not pretend others don't exist - it won't kill them to say 'Xbox' or 'Switch'.
I know this is a site dedicated to PS, but not giving the facts just makes it more confusing when looking for factual information. The Nintendo and Xbox branch of this site are the same as well, acting like a game is exclusive to the platform they focus on, when it's not.
It was announced on all platforms - including Switch via streaming - shortly after it was shown at the Xbox event.
It's like Psychonauts 2 and all the other games shown (bar a few), they're all on PS4/5 as well, they just can't say that whilst being shown in the Xbox video
@Patrick_Rs It's a shame it launched with a game-breaking flaw. I'm glad there's a patch in the works, but it's not a great first impression - but, it really showed who hadn't actually played the game in terms of the reviews as I've not seen anyone bring up the issues you're guaranteed to get.
I personally like the game, the visuals aren't the greatest but it's a very small indie team, so I'm not too bothered about that, I think the atmosphere is very spooky in each of the locations I've played so far and the random sounds add to it when wearing headphones.
That the thing though, random. You could go a while with little scares or only a few noises, or your game could have a number of QTE spooks and jumps. My first go had a ghostly figure appear in the kitchen hallway, just as I walked upstairs - other playthroughs didn't - as I'm a very jumpy person, I honestly got spooked by these moments.
With regards to the limitations, I'm a lover of old-school adventure games, so having to do things in order wasn't an issue. But, it's really only been the first chapter that does that, as a means of a tutorial, the others have been freely explorable aside from gathering keys and unlocking doors from behind as you do in games like Resident Evil (which it took inspiration from)
You mentioned Res Evil music - I've not seen that scene, I have seen the guy from Silent Hill's jacket though. There are a few references within the game, it's just paying homage to the influences - they probably got permission if it's including music though.
I've given up on chapter 4 for now, as it's corrupted the save twice now on the PS4, but I'm keeping it as the patch should fix this issue. The QTEs do still stress me out, as I'm not good with under-pressure events, especially when it can lead to the perm death of your character, so I actually find the game pretty tense and spooky. But, those who play action-based horror games, or anything in the genre often, will probably find it milder than me.
I agree with the crowbar though, it does seem a bit silly - why didn't she just force it open the first time if that's what she was gonna do anyway? I guess she was looking for the item so had no need to break in earlier. But in terms of the entity in the room, there are different types of the evil, so it can move between areas and it can go into light areas because they're dimly lit, only shining a focused light can force them away - the lantern and the light outside (ala Alan Wake).
I'm enjoying the game so far, but the crashes have got me to stop for now - I want to see the whole game before I pass judgment as chapter 4 is actually quite good, it has some decent puzzles in it.
This next part may sound petty, but considering Push Square has their scores pulled through to MetaCritic and OpenCritic, shouldn't the reviewer play the game through to the end - especially a game that's focused on its narrative? It may just be me, but giving a score to a game after a few hours of gameplay kinda nulls the review as the reviewer hasn't seen and experienced the whole game (in this case, they hadn't even reached the issues in chapter 4, resulting in not one mention of them in the review for potential buyers to know about).
I dunno, it's just a pet peeve of mine and it makes me wonder how many other reviews on the site are based on a very small amount of gameplay, and the validity of the scores and opinions published.
Port Royale 4 was also given a 5/10 (although MC has it as 6) after only playing for about 3 hours and just completing the tutorial and building a few towns - a massive strategic simulation and management game... Again, that score was used on Metacritic and dragged the overall score down.
Why don't your reviewers play and either finish or experience the majority of the games before they review them? Why are you formally affecting the official scores of games without giving the game a fair chance before rating it? Why should I consider any of your scores to be valid, unbiased, fair, and well-informed moving forward?
Again, just a pet peeve but my opinion of this site drastically dropped over the last few hours...
Sorry, felt like I had to step in here as the reviewer only played two chapters and missed out quite a bit of info, tbh.
@Patrick_Rs - there are issues in chapter 1 and 4, but 4 is the main one. The game can't save despite trying every time you walk into a door - hence the error you get constantly (on both the PS4 and PS5 - I tried both).
If you complete the chapter in one go, without dying, you 'can' make it, but if you die then there's a chance it'll crash, turn off your console and either corrupt the save file and/or the internal SSD on the PS5 and force you to initialise the unit and lose all your saves and media you've not backed up.
The good news, there is a patch on its way, due on the 15th for PS and 18th for the Xbox (as that console is affected too).
However, I'd recommend not progressing through chapter 4 unless you have backed everything up as losing all media, saves, and installed games on the internal SSD is a pain and time consuming to restore. This 'may' not happen, but it has to someone I know. For me, it shut off my PS4 Pro and corrupted the save, but I had a backup in the cloud. (I moved from my PS5 to the Pro just in case it didn't like chapter 4)
In answer to the reviewer's question about why you would use different people for the levels, it's to get a new perspective. Yeah, being an art dealer may help you make sense of the design and decor of the owner, but an electrician can give you hints on how to fix the electricity and turn off the house alarm. Similarly, the daughter seems like the best choice to search for her father, but the policeman has a gun and is a little better at the QTE segments due to his increased strength.
So yeah, each character has their purpose, they all react differently and interact with all the items based on what they know and do as a living. They're also there to give you 'lives' should you get killed and need to re-enter the level.
Also, you don't start the fire to make a dead body appear, the dolls in the dollhouse did that - the fire is for the final part of the puzzle which is explained in the notes you pick up off the bodies. None of the puzzles are moon-logic, there are hints and clues as to what you have to do, you just have to read the notes you pick up and interact with various objects and see what info the characters give you.
Never had any enemies vanish. Had one crash entering a building that corrupted the autosave so I started manually saving. Crashed a few times since but never deleted or corrupted anything.
Seen slowdown and micro stutters when using effect-heavy weapons, but nothing stopped me completing the game - put in just over 138 hours
@zeppray - erm, no. I know PSN Profiles only tracks about 4 million people, but on that list only about 800k - 1 million people have played the ND trilogy. In the wider community, it's probably about 10m people out of 100m who have played the games on either the PS3 and/or the PS4
So where did you pull the 95% from? Probably the same place all the people moaning about these games came from...
Why make out like the game is on Stadia first? It’s on both Steam and Stadia on the same day. Yeah, you glance over it in the text but your title states Stadia first. A few people have done up this both on Twitter and on various sites. Is it for clicks?
@RogerRoger can't comment on Outer Worlds but I've heard from a few sources about We Happy Few and can confirm that the buyout impacted the fact there's no pro support among other things.
This isn't the first time. There have been other games which were released from bought studios but with no pro support (despite having support for the X). I can't go into too much detail (as I'm not sure how much I can say), but let's just say that the devs can't touch any PS4 code anymore. The publishers had to find third parties to maintain and port updates and DLC because MS refuses to let the devs, they now own, finish the game on the ps4
@playstation1995 - yeah, I’ve had it for around a week, reviewed it elsewhere. Put in around 15-20 hours and finished the story Saturday morning. I also wouldn’t liken it to the last of us as it’s nothing like it, especially when you begin figuring out how to get through the hordes of rats, and the puzzles.
For a fairly small studio, this game is amazing - the narrative and the direction the game goes in is great (although I didn’t like the final ‘event’).
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but this feels like it’s based on the first few hours and not the overall experience.
I’ve not got anything against the reviewer, but did they actually finish the game? PSNProfiles says he only got up to chapter 5 (out of 15) and hasn’t played it in over 5 days.
The game has been well received almost universally by all publications, other than here. The gameplay changes as more abilities are introduced, the story gets deeper and more emotional as certain things are revealed around chapter 10, and gameplay is kept varied as it combines puzzles with stealth and fun ways to eliminate your foes with the rats.
The review read as someone who played a few chapters and presumed the game stayed the same for the remaining 2/3 which were left.
Again, nothing against the reviewer, but it’s a shame as the game is actually an excellent new IP
"but those updates don't usually have to make your purchase a complete one."
Tony Hawk 5, No Mans Sky, Pretty much any online game like MGS and any Xbox title recently. There is quite a big list of games that require this. Don't forget Dead Island on PS4 only came with one game and the other was a download, FFX only came with one and the other was digital on the Vita as well as quite a few other Vita titles.
@Porco - in order to natively run the PS4 games, the hardware within the PS5 would need to be similar or 100% compatible with the PS4 processes and commands. That's why the Pro isn't a massive jump and only uses half the GPU when running PS4 games, even in boost mode.
So presuming that the PS5 will be held back if going for the 100% compatibility mode is an educated guess and one which I wouldn't be happy with them doing.
If the jump is drastic and three is too much of a difference to run the games natively, then emulation will be required which would use up time, money and resources - regardless of what the other guy said. MS is basically throwing away money with every BC game as they supposedly have over 100 people working on the emulation and testing process for games people will either get second hand or already own. That's not a good business model for any company. Unless it's real BC like with the PS3, Wii and Wii U, then it's gonna cost Sony and thus tap into money which could be spent on new games, studios and innovations.
Also, I don't see it being like the PS3, Wii or Wii U as they all had previous gen hardware inside or were just the same system but overclocked (Wii and Wii U) - thus that means either, as I said, the PS5 being held back as a PS4 Pro+ Console (pointless) or an increase in price with dual processing APUs inside (which they wont do).
Anyway, we'll see, but I wouldn't hold your breath over native BC on the PS5 - this patent was for the PSP emulations. Just keep your PS4. If you want a system that plays all your games all the time - get a PC. Consoles need to evolve and innovate, otherwise it's pointless.
@RedMageLanakyn - no, if your PS4 stops working then you either get it fixed or buy a new one. Again, you would rather them use money, resources and staff on emulating the games than investing in new experiences and games moving forward? To me, that's selfish as you want the PS5 to become the XboxOne and lack innovation as it clings onto last gens games as it's only saving grace rather than utilising the best out of the new system.
I'll happily welcome a PS4 with no BC but with a sperate GPU and CPU rather than another APU that's underpowered and limited to a certain infrastructure to allow old games to run.
Speaking of if the console stops working though, what would you do if your Wii U stopped working? Would you demand Nintendo makes all your games playable on the Switch? What about the 3DS? When that's not being made anymore would you also demand Nintendo allows you to play them on the Switch as well? No, you wouldn't.
I don't like saying it, but you sound a little entitled atm, saying you feel if you bought a game for the PS4, which you own and you've played and enjoyed playing those games, then you should be allowed to play them on the new console just because you don't want to have both of them hooked up.
Like I said, keep your old system and you'll have 100% compatibility on all of your games both digital and physical. If you're concerned about paying the games after upgrading, maybe you should invest in a PC as consoles have to make a jump if they want to make a difference to the current gen. I really hope there is no BC and it isn't being held back as that'll be a massive mistake.
I don't get all the begging for BC on the PS5. If it was a choice between dedicated PS5 games which take full advantage of the new system by having nothing holding them back, to having the new APU based around the same architecture just so a minority of people can sell their PS4 and play those games on the PS5, I'd chose the former.
If you want to play PS4 games, don't sell your PS4. Similarly, if you wanted to play PS3 or Xbox 360 games, pick up a cheap PS3 or Xbox 360... If each and every game will require emulation like the Xbox One does, all you're going to end up with is a select bunch of games, waiting for ages for the one you want, and time and resources spent on bringing these to you rather than spent on new games.
I seriously don't want the PS5 to become the Xbox One in terms of lacking in innovation and new experiences.
Again though, don't sell your current gen consoles and there is no issue here. Also, Sony hasn't lost any money by not offering PS3 games this gen - it's had PSNow and you can still use the PS3 to buy games. It's not like it's been shut down.
Minecraft won't get it - not if MS are still forcing you to use an Xbox Live login in order to play online. Plus, that version of Minecraft is gimped right down with less content and access to un-supervised servers where people have been scammed out of money and kids have encountered 'colourful' language...
In regards to Rocket League - the dev said on twitter that it isn't that simple when someone asked them. To which I responded asking why they are saying that now when beforehand they said it was 'the push of a button'. They said that to force Sony/Show them up a little, yet now they are acting like it's not as easy as they said - what a surprise...
@Quintumply - it actually is. I've got it for review as well - supposedly the time was changed after some people got their copies but we got it last week and it was 2pm today for reviews and 2pm Wednesday for any video footage.
It doesn't matter, at the end of the day it's these guys who may get caught out and questioned - just pointing it out to them...
@NoCode23 SS wont change GTA 5 at all because it's a 1080p game. Boost mode wont affect Skyrim at all because it's an enhanced game.
Far Cry 5 has no differences with Boost because it's an enhanced title so Boost is disabled.
Didn't think people still got confused over the process? If it's officially enhanced in any way, even if the full cores are turned on like in Yooka-Layee yet there is no obvious resolution or graphical change, it's still using the full CPU and GPU so it's enhanced - thus it disables Boost mode.
If the game is only 1080p or less then SS wont work as SS is only to downsample a resolution above 1080p back down to 1080p.
I wouldn't usually complain but Xbox fanboys are using this list as 'Fact' - you need to change the context as you claim it's "Every enhanced title" when in reality it isn't. There are a load of games missing, things like Yakuza 6, Dragons Quest 2, all the other KT games, smaller indie games like the Sometimes You ones which run in native 4k, Tacoma is 4k etc...
So yeah, maybe just say Here is a list of 'some' of the enhanced titles"...
Sorry, I've just looked again and there are loads more missing that I thought such as:
we happy few, shadow of the tomb raider, Conan, surviving mars, spiral splatter, qube 2, TT isle of man, one eyed kutkh, north, gravel, sword art online fatal bullet, metal gear survive, kingdom come deliverance, monster energy supercross, dynasty warriors 9, atelier firis, atelier suelle and lydia, ufc 3, nightmares of the deep 3 (and all other Artifex mundi titles), dragon ball fighterz, van helsing 1, okami, hand of fate 2, lego marvel superheroes 2, need for speed payback, cactus, sonic forces, mud runner spintires, real farm, elex, wwe 2k18, danger zone, the hunter, project cars 2, marvel vs capcom infinite, nba live 18, dishonered dlc, Redout, agents of mayhem, tacoma, fortnite, ESO, chess ultra, portal knights, aaero, ghost recon, dead rising 4, skyrim, titan fall 2, superhot, the division, AO Tennis.
This is when directly comparing and checking off the ones you missed that are enhanced on the X and the Pro. There ais about 2-3x as many of this which you missed which were all listed over on Gaf up until October last year.
So that's at least 65 games missing off the list (if you count all the Artifex Mundi games) - so yeah, you should really remove the comment about it being 'All of the games' - because its way, way out
another 3/10 rating which is way too low imo. I've really enjoyed playing it over the last few weeks - it's not as good as the first one as they have used the Gal*Gun VR mechanics and made it into a non-VR game (which is annoying) but added a story into it this time - but still a lot more enjoyable than a 3
TBH, I've heard of other developers being told by Nintendo that they have to not release their game on the PS Vita if they want it on the Switch.
I do a lot of reviews so I can't disclose the dev who told me that in confidence, but it's a bit shady. It's most likely why certain games that were on Vita in Japan don't appear on Vita over here, yet they are on the Switch - Nintendo making deals which makes their platform the only version you can take on the go with you...
seriously not an issue - it's one tile that can be deleted - unlike another platform. However, you all know that Crap Gamer on YT is going to make a video on this tonight and make out that it's the end of the world and "Xbox Won" - as usual...
@Bonbonetti - look on youtube - our embargo lifted at 12pm today so there are a lot of videos - we put up a 'first 15 mins' vid of it on a PS4 Pro and a few other places did short intros to the game - within the first 15 mins you can see what the game is gonna be like. You game a few more people and abilities but the core is the same.
I've just completed it and got all the endings and I think a 3 is a bit unfair haha! Think my review will be around the 6.5-7ish mark.
Bad parts: The combat, quite hard bosses which require numerous retries, the tactical mode which doesn't work well, the AI companions who are useless and the lack of any progression or gaining new weapons etc...
Good parts - loved the puzzles as some were really well done, the voice acting is good (but the levels are all over the place), The story was okay, the graphics are nice and it ran okay on my Pro.
If the companion AI was a bit smarter and moved about to dodge the enemies, and the tactical combat section worked as intended, then it would have been more enjoyable - they also need to either beef up your weapons or weaken some of the bosses - almost rage quit quite a few times!
@Kogorn733 - amazon officially sells digital codes - so not 3rd party, direct from Sony via amazon. Sometimes it works out cheaper to buy on amazon than psn as well.
Plus, if you wanted to gift then you could get the code off amazon and give the code to someone.
I've sometimes seen digital games for $5-10 on amazon that are 20-30 on psn.
@Flaming_Kaiser - don't wanna promote on this site but my review on another is going live this week. The review above is right though - the CPU are a pain in the arse as they follow you and are physical, so block you. But I found if you jump then you jump through them most of the time.
Levels with just you can get a bit tense due to the respawning of zombies, but unless there is a barrier, you can just run and gun - if there is no barrier then they are most likely infinite spawn.
It did remind me of EDF tho - collecting 'unknown' weapons which get named after the mission, funny cutscenes, the ability to use your clothes and underwear as traps, a lot of different weapons and customisations options as well.
It does spike up in difficulty though around chapter 3 onwards, but it's all so-able, it just may take a few attempts. If you like onechanbara then you will probably like this game - I do it's set in the same universe as well.
This is good news. A few years is fine as we have DW9, AoT2 and hopefully Berserk 2 on the way. I really want a Warriors Orochi 4 and Bladestorm 2 as well. Plus we will obv get a DW9 empires as well
I just hope it expands on the customisations and keep the content growing, each game has had more modes, characters and levels than the previous.
My review copy is arriving tomorrow - I was very late to request it haha! Not played a COD for a while - own them all, just not played them. Looking forward to trying it out though.
@nathanSF games can be fun and dark at the same time. People have 'fun' playing horror games - yet most of them aim to be dark, disturbing and scary.
People have taken this trailer and tried to create controversy around it, for no reason at all. If they don't like it, or got offended, who cares? The game clearly isn't for them - they should go buy Yoo-Ka laylee or something.
"Taking part in these one-off assassinations will also now earn you commemorative coins" - season 2 will do the same, only it will be Microtransaction coins to buy new gear and costumes....
I think i'm the only person reviewing the game who absolutely loves the game :/ the time aspect took a while to get used too, and knowing now that I have another 1 or 2 playthroughs to do is a bit iffy, but I've loved my 40 hours with it so far About half way through my NG+
The only thing I really wanted was a mission on each new area to open all the chests - like you do in the last 2 areas - that way you know if you have them all or not
@get2sammyb - cool, i'll get to it when I have some spare time then - regarding the costumes that unlock, maybe they will just release them free as a dlc once the servers are shut?

Re: Poll: Do You Care About 60fps on PS5?
I'm more concerned that Push Square staff all hide their PSN Profiles, refusing to show how little they play before reviewing a game and giving them bad scores after only playing for an hour or two.
That's a bigger issue than people moaning about 30fps
Re: Trio of PS Plus Assassin's Creed Games Won't Be Playable on PS5
Tell me you have no idea what you're talking about, by telling me you have no idea what you're talking about...
All three games will be 'playable' on the PS5, they just have visual issues. Now, you won't see them on the PS5 console but you can claim them on a PS4, the app or the website, then you can download them on the PS5 via your library.
You obviously didn't realise both Star Trek and Werewolves were exactly the same due to BC issues. They work but you have to claim them before you can download on the PS5.
You'd have thought someone who writes for this site would know these things...
Re: Man of Medan, Little Hope PS5 Versions Available to Download Now
@mittensknox nope
All three games have had free trials for a while. It's the full game but you have to play with someone that owns the game - it's so two people can play with one copy.
Re: Latest PS5 Firmware Available Now, Adds Folders, 1440p Support, Much More
@lindos no
If you play a game that has a 1440p option then it'll render natively at 1440p.
Re: Sony Promises 1-Hour PS Plus Trial for Rollerdrome, Offers 35 Minutes
@Voltan nope, within minutes of playing the game you get a warning you only have 30 minutes left - it is only giving us 35 minutes.
What's annoying is the tutorial in mandatory and takes about 10 minutes to complete, using up 1/3 of the trial time

Re: Skyrim Anniversary Edition Coming This November for PS5, PS4
@kuu_nousee
Nah, the Bethesda post explains it all
"Current and future owners of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition on any platform including Xbox Game Pass Subscribers will receive access to three free pieces of Creation Club content: Fishing, Survival Mode and even new quests with Saints and Seducers.

Maybe read the official announcement and post the correct information: https://bethesda.net/en/article/REybYU3Gy2InVlHmus4UC/skyrim-10th-anniversary-fan-celebration
Re: Back 4 Blood, A Plague Tale: Requiem, More Will Be Full-Price on PS5, PS4

Re: Mini Review: Song of Horror (PS4) - Scare-Free Horror Is Frighteningly Dull
Re: Mini Review: Song of Horror (PS4) - Scare-Free Horror Is Frighteningly Dull
@CheekyMonkey
Re: Mini Review: Song of Horror (PS4) - Scare-Free Horror Is Frighteningly Dull
Re: Hands On: Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning Has a Game-Breaking Bug and Crashing Issues on PS4
@Panic_Attache Have my own site - doing the review now
The plat took about 108 hours but I carried on playing it post-finishing it as there was still a bunch of quests left to do.
But no, I hardly slept whilst I played it as I'd been waiting for this for a very long time
Re: Hands On: Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning Has a Game-Breaking Bug and Crashing Issues on PS4
Got the platinum the other day - on PS4 Pro at 4k
Never had any enemies vanish. Had one crash entering a building that corrupted the autosave so I started manually saving. Crashed a few times since but never deleted or corrupted anything.
Seen slowdown and micro stutters when using effect-heavy weapons, but nothing stopped me completing the game - put in just over 138 hours
Re: PS Plus January 2020 PS4 Games Announced
@zeppray - erm, no. I know PSN Profiles only tracks about 4 million people, but on that list only about 800k - 1 million people have played the ND trilogy. In the wider community, it's probably about 10m people out of 100m who have played the games on either the PS3 and/or the PS4
So where did you pull the 95% from? Probably the same place all the people moaning about these games came from...
Re: Darksiders Genesis PS4 Release Has to Wait Until February 2020, First on Google Stadia
Why make out like the game is on Stadia first? It’s on both Steam and Stadia on the same day. Yeah, you glance over it in the text but your title states Stadia first. A few people have done up this both on Twitter and on various sites. Is it for clicks?
Re: The Outer Worlds Is Purportedly Not Enhanced on PS4 Pro, Runs at 4K on Xbox One X
@RogerRoger can't comment on Outer Worlds but I've heard from a few sources about We Happy Few and can confirm that the buyout impacted the fact there's no pro support among other things.
Re: The Outer Worlds Is Purportedly Not Enhanced on PS4 Pro, Runs at 4K on Xbox One X
Re: A Plague Tale: Innocence - The Rats of Us
@playstation1995 - yeah, I’ve had it for around a week, reviewed it elsewhere.
Re: A Plague Tale: Innocence - The Rats of Us
I’ve not got anything against the reviewer, but did they actually finish the game?
Re: Spyro: Reignited Trilogy Still Requires Content Download for Second and Third Games
It's not unusual, just not as common.
Re: Patent Prompts PS5 Backwards Compatibility Rumours
Re: Patent Prompts PS5 Backwards Compatibility Rumours
Re: Patent Prompts PS5 Backwards Compatibility Rumours
Re: Rocket League Cross-Play Seems Likely on the PS4
Minecraft won't get it - not if MS are still forcing you to use an Xbox Live login in order to play online. Plus, that version of Minecraft is gimped right down with less content and access to un-supervised servers where people have been scammed out of money and kids have encountered 'colourful' language...
In regards to Rocket League - the dev said on twitter that it isn't that simple when someone asked them. To which I responded asking why they are saying that now when beforehand they said it was 'the push of a button'. They said that to force Sony/Show them up a little, yet now they are acting like it's not as easy as they said - what a surprise...
Re: Review: State of Mind (PS4)
@kyleforrester87 okay... Like I said above, just letting them know, that's all.
Re: Review: State of Mind (PS4)
@Quintumply - it actually is. I've got it for review as well - supposedly the time was changed after some people got their copies but we got it last week and it was 2pm today for reviews and 2pm Wednesday for any video footage.
It doesn't matter, at the end of the day it's these guys who may get caught out and questioned - just pointing it out to them...
Re: Review: State of Mind (PS4)
Isn't the embargo for this 2pm...
Re: Guide: All PS4 Pro Enhanced Games
Hopefully that clears it up
Re: Guide: All PS4 Pro Enhanced Games
So that's at least 65 games missing off the list (if you count all the Artifex Mundi games) - so yeah, you should really remove the comment about it being 'All of the games' - because its way, way out
Re: Review: Gal*Gun 2 (PS4)
another 3/10 rating which is way too low imo. I've really enjoyed playing it over the last few weeks - it's not as good as the first one as they have used the Gal*Gun VR mechanics and made it into a non-VR game (which is annoying) but added a story into it this time - but still a lot more enjoyable than a 3
Re: NIS America: Sony Isn't Friendly with Small Publishers Like Us
TBH, I've heard of other developers being told by Nintendo that they have to not release their game on the PS Vita if they want it on the Switch.
Re: Forced PlayStation Now Ad Causes a Stir on PS4
seriously not an issue - it's one tile that can be deleted - unlike another platform. However, you all know that Crap Gamer on YT is going to make a video on this tonight and make out that it's the end of the world and "Xbox Won" - as usual...
Re: Review: Fear Effect Sedna (PS4)
@Bonbonetti - look on youtube - our embargo lifted at 12pm today so there are a lot of videos - we put up a 'first 15 mins' vid of it on a PS4 Pro and a few other places did short intros to the game - within the first 15 mins you can see what the game is gonna be like. You game a few more people and abilities but the core is the same.
Re: Review: Fear Effect Sedna (PS4)
Re: Rumour: A Way Out Won't Break Out of Prison Until 2019 on PS4
By the title I thought you meant it was Xbox next year and PS4 2019 - so a timed exclusive. By time this comes out we will be almost onto the next gen
Plus they added switch support didn't they - maybe that delayed the release
Re: Guide: Best PS4 Cyber Monday 2017 Deals USA
@Kogorn733 - amazon officially sells digital codes - so not 3rd party, direct from Sony via amazon. Sometimes it works out cheaper to buy on amazon than psn as well.
Plus, if you wanted to gift then you could get the code off amazon and give the code to someone.
I've sometimes seen digital games for $5-10 on amazon that are 20-30 on psn.
Re: Review: School Girl/Zombie Hunter (PS4)
Re: Review: School Girl/Zombie Hunter (PS4)
I enjoyed it - but then again I really enjoy the Onechanbara games as wel
Re: A New Samurai Warriors Game Is in Development, But It's a While Off Yet
This is good news. A few years is fine as we have DW9, AoT2 and hopefully Berserk 2 on the way. I really want a Warriors Orochi 4 and Bladestorm 2 as well. Plus we will obv get a DW9 empires as well
I just hope it expands on the customisations and keep the content growing, each game has had more modes, characters and levels than the previous.
Re: Round Up: Call of Duty: WWII PS4 Reviews Take to the Trenches
My review copy is arriving tomorrow - I was very late to request it haha! Not played a COD for a while - own them all, just not played them. Looking forward to trying it out though.
Re: PGW 2017: PlayStation Boss Comments on Controversial Last of Us 2 Trailer
@nathanSF games can be fun and dark at the same time. People have 'fun' playing horror games - yet most of them aim to be dark, disturbing and scary.
People have taken this trailer and tried to create controversy around it, for no reason at all. If they don't like it, or got offended, who cares? The game clearly isn't for them - they should go buy Yoo-Ka laylee or something.
Re: Hitman: Game of the Year Edition Adds New Campaign and Content
"Taking part in these one-off assassinations will also now earn you commemorative coins" - season 2 will do the same, only it will be Microtransaction coins to buy new gear and costumes....
Re: Review: Nights of Azure 2: Bride of the New Moon (PS4)
I think i'm the only person reviewing the game who absolutely loves the game :/ the time aspect took a while to get used too, and knowing now that I have another 1 or 2 playthroughs to do is a bit iffy, but I've loved my 40 hours with it so far About half way through my NG+
The only thing I really wanted was a mission on each new area to open all the chests - like you do in the last 2 areas - that way you know if you have them all or not
Re: Why Is Sony Turning Off Gravity Rush 2's Servers After a Year?
@get2sammyb - cool, i'll get to it when I have some spare time then - regarding the costumes that unlock, maybe they will just release them free as a dlc once the servers are shut?
