@Ainu20 What is necessary is leaving this game for what it is. It failed. Sony should take lessons from it and move on instead.

@LifeGirl i didn't buy the game no worries. They can keep their garbage and i hope that Fairgame$ and Marathon fail just as hard. Al Sony did this generation was taking anti-consumer decisions and pumping money in live service crap that's dead within a year.

@Ainu20 No because geving the game F2P now just shows they could do that from release. Yet they still tried to milk 40 dollar from the consumer. Low player count and not even a week after release it's possible to maybe play the game for free??

@Juanalf : wauw. 40 dollar in cosmetics to show off your character against... nobody.it's mind boggling they still asked 40 dollar for a game they knew was going to fail. And now because of low player count they want to give the game F2P?? It just shows again how Sony and developers just want to milk as much money as possible from gamers with live service games that give you the bare minimum to begin with.

Everybody keeps talking about F2P. But what about those that bought the game? This would be the last game i bought from Sony if they make it F2P later!!

Yes, finally! Looking forward to play this one. Can't remember when i preorderd a game and wanting to play on release day, but this game is surely one of those! Can't wait either to collect the last Bot on Astro's Bot Playroom and have 100% completion again. Now these are the type of games Sony should invest in and create instead of crappy money milking live service games!!

The next fail is going to be Fairgame$. Another crap live service game that will die in months. I hope this one is also DOA.
Marathon from Bungie maybe has some more potential as a extraction shooter. Still, i'm not too excited for that one either.

Yes! Exactly! Those series earned their fanbase. How long are gamers crying for a new Socom game? A new Resistance game? Hell Sony even cancelled a new Twisted Metal game. Why? They could earn so much money with it, yet they refuse and pump millions of dollars in a game that's taken 8 years to make. And yes i get it. Socom and Resistance were once a new IP also. So we need new original games, new franchises. But Concord.. Sorry it's just not what gamers want these days. Cringing hero shooter, with cringy characters and humor.

Yes maybe those series sold not that much copies. But how many will Concord sell now you think? Plus: why did Sony buy Bungie for so much money? Let them make a good Socom game again and let Bungie show to Sony they are worth that much money. Also why have IP's in your inventory and never make a new game for it? It doesn't make sense.

I think many of us would gladly have paid premium price for a TLOU Online game. Sony would certainly earned back more money than now with Concord. I really don't see the issue why ND would struggle to maintain a live service game and making new SP content. Isn't that what they want in the gaming industry? More jobs? More people to hire?

You know what Sony should have done? Not cancelling TLOU Online. Instant hit.
Maybe they could make a fantastic live service game with Socom? Instant hit.
Instead of this Concord *****.

I would love a new handheld. Actually they don't have to do much. Improve on the Portal, keep the remote play, maybe a better screen and add a SSD so you can take games with you. Done!

There are alot more factors to it why the GT7 community don't like the free updates. First of all: PD put out a patch in the early GT7 days that prevented people from earning decent credits and pushing mictrotransactions. The later reverted this because of the backlash. Still to this day we are still stuck with the same 4 races with a somewhat decent payout.
Second: free updates is just drip feeding content to the consumers that already payed more than 70 (in my case euros) for a game. Meanwhile they can pull out charts to show the shareholders their fantastic player retention. I hate live service games so hard. They are (most of the times) designed to milk the gamers more and more. It doesn't matter if the game is free to play or not.
As for the discussion if people like microtransactions or not: it's impossible to discuss. Gamers these days grew up with this MTX *****, so they don't know better. Look: i'm all for decent DLC and to pay for it. But the DLC needs to add value to a already great, finished! game. Non of this BS FOMO skin ***** for a certain character that is impossible to earn legit.
Also for Concord: the game was in development for 8 years. What the interest was back then isn't necessarily the same these days. They are a couple years to late to release a game like Concord these days.
Last thing i want to say: people want franchises like Socom, Killzone because they have nostalgic reasons + Sony is sitting on these franchises and doing nothing with them.
Sony wants a succesful live service game: should have kept developing TLOU online. People would be all over it. Make anew decent Socom as a live service game. Where is this Horizon online game? Been quiet for ages now.

I hope it fails good and fast. People are tired with these games (live-service games) and especially the business model that is behind them. Yes people want a new Socom, Resistence or Killzone. Sony has all these great franchises and what do they do with it? Nothing. Instead they pump money in this awful game. Sony and developers need to stop milking gamers. Games need to stop with the battle passes and patches every week. I want games that are finished from the day they release and i'm happy to pay for DLC. As for Fairgames and Marathon: i hope they fail just as hard as Concord. Stop the live service BS.

I would like to see GTA VI, Uncharted V, Gran Turismo 8, Spiderman 3, The Last of Us III, Kingdom Hearts IV, a new Ratchet & Clank and a new Splinter Cell game. Including release dates. Also the new PS5 Pro for 399 and a Portal 2 with SDD to be able to store games. Also the announcement that Playstation is getting Starfield/Forza Horizon 5 and Forza Motorsport 7. They can keep Halo.

Hope this game fails miserably. Stop thinking we all want those stupid live service games. I hate them. Awful businessmodel. Getting less and less game for more money.

Live service games is delivering minimum content for maximum profit. Designed so people buy MTX. Drip feeding minimal content, constant patches with nerfs to suck the joy out of playing the game. Game developers refusing to give content or gameplay what gamers want. Games that become online play online. Limiting progress. Putting cosmetics behind paywalls and deleting ingame challenges to be able to earn those cosmetics. They rather take your money. Give us back finished games on release and i'm happy to pay for (good) DLC.
