Re: Rumour: Cyberpunk 2077 Release Date Set for 2019 According to Studio Leak

funkyflounder83

I can’t help but hope it comes this year but the fact that it is based off a game that is actually titled 2020 I don’t think they’re going to pass up on the marketing & all round irony of it releasing in 2020. My say is beginning of 2020 but it could still be in the 2019 fiscal year which is where the confusion might be coming from. BUT I WANT IT YESTERDAY!

@suikoden I knew it because I remembered when it was announced I was thinking this was a definite get for me. I’ve watched the original anime & bought Zero on a PS4 sale but never played it after I heard about this & thought they might be doing the same for that(making cutscenes instead of visual novel style static images) so I wanted to get the full experience that way

I’ve got to say I feel exactly the same as Liam but have to agree with @get2sammyb they know people like us will watch anyway so announcing things like the Russo Bros could bring in a broader range of viewers. Although they shouldn’t have shared the Rage 2 trailer was happening & the Far Cry thing. With regards to those 2 though, I quite like the look of Rage 2 & if Far Cry is going Post Apocalyptic then I hope it’s not just going to follow the Far Cry formula because if that’s the case then I’ll be sticking with Rage 2. There’s only room for so many post apocalypse and since Fallout 76 the floor is open for someone to swoop in.

Re: Game of the Month: The Best PS4 Games of November 2018

It looks like I traded in my PSVR headset far too early. Games like Beat Saber, Tetris Effect, Superhot VR & Firewall are right up my alley. Instead I got a Xbox One X. I have Game Pass and the only game I play is Forza Horizon 4. Don’t get me wrong it’s a great game but £367 on a console for 1 game is just foolish on my part. If My biggest problem with the VR was just actually hooking it up felt like a hassle. Roll on the wireless headset to go with PS5. I’ll be all over that with some better controllers for it & hopefully those VR games I listed backwards compatible

Re: Days Gone Delayed to Avoid Horde of New Releases on PS4

funkyflounder83

This is 1 PS Exclusive that wasn't really a day 1 priority for me but this makes so much more sense both for the game and Bend Studio as a whole. Now don't get me wrong the game might come out and be a dud BUT is if this comes out and is a solid 8 then there are more chances of people coming out and showing support which can only benefit the hard working devs who have spent the last 6-7 years on what is possibly their dream project. So all I can say is well played Sony for having the foresight to do this. If only other companies followed this model...I'm looking at you Square Enix and Shadow of the Tomb Raider.

Re: CD Projekt RED Partners with Tech Team on Cyberpunk 2077

@Th3solution I know I was the same at first but then I thought if they are just making deals now with a company which I presume from what I read about them will be providing assets and scene layouts. What I am actually hoping is this deal was made a few years ago and it is just being announced now.

Re: Patent Prompts PS5 Backwards Compatibility Rumours

With digital catalogue's becoming more and more popular each passing year it would be ridiculous to think that PS5 won't have BC with at least PS4. I have bought most of my games on PSN store deals and because of this have a large back log. I usually purchase a console at launch on day 1 and if they tell me in order to play my older games I will have to keep my PS4 Pro set up then I will and buy the next Xbox instead.

Re: Talking Point: How Much Does Cross-Play Matter to You?

funkyflounder83

Actual "Cross-Play" doesn't matter to me but I think with games as a service if you're paying additional money for cosmetics then you should be able to access them on any platform you own the game.

For things like map packs I think if you want to play them on multiple systems then you should have to purchase them on each system or just pick the system best suited however when I buy an outfit for something in Fortnite or Destiny or even possibly Anthem then let me use it in other systems.

I would also like to see something comparable to what GTA V done when moving from older generations to newer ones you got a chance to bring your character over. I wouldn't mind seeing this expanded on for instance I have a PS4 and bought my daughter Lego Marvel Superheroes 2 but then I got her a Switch and she wanted it on there so it would have been nice if we could have a Travellers Tales account that we could bring over the game progress and unlocked characters to the other system. And if you're thinking what would be the point in buying it then well my daughter is 4 she just loves jumping into any level as Spider-Gwen and swinging around but because we don't have this feature we both just have to sit down and go through each level again instead of using our time to try and unlock all characters to see if she can find one she loves as much as Spider-Gwen.

Re: Feature: Watching the World Cup with PSVR Feels Like a New Frontier for Sports

funkyflounder83

I think maybe once they get to a top quality level they will charge for the service. so it would give fans unable to go to the likes of Qatar or even fans unable to get a ticket to see their own team in the Champions League final a chance to get as close to the action as possible without being there. World Cups, Champions League games & European Championships would all be sellouts so it could be extra revenue. Then if you look at local derbies, I'm Celtic fan and it is extremely difficult to get a ticket for an away Old Firm game(even home games are hard to get tickets for if you don't have a season ticket) so if I could by a ticket to experience even just a fraction of that electric atmosphere I would pay for it and I know many other people who would do the same. Then there is the disabled fans who can't get to these things. All this then you have ex-pats or even people who don't want to go out on a wet & windy Wednesday night after being at work all day & this begins to look like an exciting prospect for the future.
