@Grimwood thats pretty poor math. 3 billion doesnt compare to the 69 billion. Im not sure who you think is pocketing that money either way. That money would of been divided up to multiple people.
And who exactly is gonna offer them 69 billion again?
@Americansamurai1 doesn't really matter how much iron galaxy was involved. It doesn't make sony or naughty dog less responsible or accountable for this messy port. This is their baby and they should of taken care of it. End of the day, ND and Sony were ultimately in control of Quality Assurance and what was being released and they clearly dropped the ball.
@Athrum it's a different dev team and by the name choice it seems like they are officially trying to erase the existence of the first title. But I'm still staying on the side of skeptical too.
@GamerStation257 yeah. Mechanically and technologically the game is a marvel. They worked the hell out of that team. But its always the story thats divisive with people. I personally like the revenge story more than any of their other games. But i also don't think anyone can say it's objectively a poorly written story.
@Uncharted2007 yeah, youre right. Sony did just leave it for dead. My highlights of the vita really was 3rd party developed games, especially devs like devolver.
@themightyant yeah hopefully production will start this year. I'm curious how long until they have a script ready, especially if they do really plan to split part 2.
@Vacuumator its suggesting that it's been in development for ten years. To be fair it was announced 10 years ago but this is like the 4th version of the game developed by 3 different studios in that time.
@OrtadragoonX I don't see how pt2 was a cliffhanger. The story of pt2 was fully complete and the only question was did ellie go back to jackson or not. which is meant to be open to interpretation. We also know Abby and Lev made it to Catalina Island
@Decoy_Snake I hope we atleast get some down time at Jackson before they really start on part 2. Kill Joel at the end of season 2 and season 3 can just focus on the three days of carnage in Seattle.
@ItsBritneyB_tch bale has a lot of time to prepare before shooting his movies and goes through vigorous regimine during that time. Transitioning or doing that big of a weight cut doesn't seem doable with the filming schedule of a series.
@mrbone people reported that last year but sony confirmed they were still manufacturing them. Most sony consoles stop being manufactured at 12 or 11 years so ps4 has atleast another year of manufacturing if they stay will trend
@NEStalgia Right. Game design on PS1 was basicslly forced to keep the dpad as the primary controls for movement due to having two different controllers on the console. They should have introduced DS2 with asymmetrical. By that time game design had shifted to favoring movement with the left analog stick. Now I assume they keep it symmetrical for branding reasons more than anything else.
They could atleast release a variant of the official controllers with asymmetrical analog sticks and let the sales numbers do the talking on what players prefer.
@BadPlayerOne it's not a game but it's a TV show and is fictional.... you know cordyceps don't infect humans in real life either. Don't see the point in nit picking and cherry picking the little things when the whole premise of most TV shows need some sort of suspension of disbelief.
@Westernwolf4 much of it isn't from purchasing a base game. I wouldn't be surprised if a majority of these numbers are from games like fortnite. Skins are huge for the younger generation of gamers.
@Serisak effort? Lol. but there's a lot of reasons for this feature outside of normal scenerios. But really normal scenerios isn't why Sony added this option to begin with.
@Cutmastavictory @BearsEatBeets @MattyHammo if you accidentally turn on the controller with the system unplugged or not around its handy for sure. I often repair my dualshocks and this trick I utilize when having to open my controller up, before unplugging the battery. Also when paired to the ps3 you can still use this trick and it's very helpful. Still in normal scenerios, I just use the quick menu to turn off devices, or just let the system turn off the controller when I power down or go into rest mode.
@Jaz007 I clean my oh ps4 regularly, open it up and blow out any dust. It really doesn't make a difference so your probably safe. I notice it definitely depends on the game being played and the power demands of that game.
@Flaming_Kaiser yeah I totally agree. There are plenty of open world games I love because they are so deep and have a lot offer. Hzd, Witcher 3 are a few obvious ones that come to mind. Rage 2 I could play and have fun but wouldn't stay engaged for long and would just put the game down. It's not often that I want to play an open world non stop like some of the greats. Ubusoft open worlds usually bore me or make me feel like I'm doing the same thing over and over. I'm sick of climbing shit just to reveal more of the map.
@Flaming_Kaiser honestly, me too. I get bored with open world games often. Too much filler and empty space. Driving was cool and shooting was fun but it takes a little more than just solid mechanics to keep me engaged.
@ankehuber yeah I can't agree with that. I'm having a blast with it. I'm almost done with the campaign and still see myself playing better and figuring out new ways to use the mechanics. I'm playing on nightmare BTW, not sure if that matter, but I tried their normal difficulty and found it unchallenging and not very fun.
@vhsodre no i believe it's the best selling game on the console period, not taking into account copies sold on other consoles. It's hard to say cause I'm basing that off a wiki page. But just looking at red dead, as of February of this year, they sold 29 million copies across Xbox, pc and ps4. So unless 19+ million of those copies were on ps4, it's not red dead. The only game I could think that sold more that 19 million of just ps4 copies would be gta5 but so many people already purchased the older console versions and didn't double dip on the ps4 version.
@nessisonett I mean they've sold like 19 million copies of uncharted 4. I thinks it's still the best selling game on ps4 but plenty of people don't have it.
@huyi nobody is "targeting" EU. The European Commision asked this from all the companies. Disney, Amazon, Netflix, YouTube and now psn are all doing it.
@Powerpellet I'm loving Eternal. Been a doom fan since I was playing the originals on a ms-dos computer as a kid. I think they stayed true to the identity of Doom with the reboots. Just fun, arcadey fun shotgun blasting demon's at a fast pace while strafing nonstop. To me the reboots are closer to a true doom game than doom 3. Although that's not to say I don't love doom 3, which I do.
@TurboTom loading is the big thing for sure, not just loading screens, but loading assets as you travel in a open world game, so less pop ins and more things can be loaded in field of view quicker. Even in non open world games this is a benefit. Along with that, the ssd allows for more effecient use of the RAM. Since the ssd has no seek time and can be used to load things instantly, the games won't need to use RAM as much to load things that the game may or may not need, depending on players action.
@kyleforrester87 I think the line is somewhere between shutting down a factory to avoid further spreading an infectious virus and nobody working because they might die while driving to work, which is pretty uncontrollable and a miniscule risk.
@Porco then* lol But regardless of your tantrum we know actual sales figures of ps4 and until Microsoft actually releases sales numbers again, like they use to do, then we'll only know what's been shipped based off numbers like this. AMD is a really good resource, since they developed the processor for both consoles.
@kenyowa I'm pretty confident in it. It really has all the recipes for being good. HBO is second to none when it comes to television shows and they were the trailblazers of great TV going as far back as the 90s. Plus with Neil druckman on board and involved gives me alot of faith that'll be handled correctly.
@Nightcrawler71 I'm stoked about this game but from all the reviews I read the difficulty is pretty intense, even to the point that it's a negative to many of the reviewers. I like challenging games but there still has to be a good balance and execution for it to be fun.
@Gmork___ @Gmork___ that's an awesome idea! Windir is such a great band. They're definitely up there for me too for folk metal, along with moonsorrow and asmegin. I couldn't find your psn name from the app. Mines veryhoudini11 feel free to add me mate!
@Gmork___ I think a fast paced fps with meshuggah as the soundtrack would be epic personally. I've also always thought its a missed opportunity not putting folk metal or atmospheric black metal in a fantasy game.
